      • The pictures are good; thought provoking. The idea of a Children’s Hospital being so violated by random acts of violence and vandalism even after it is no longer a functioning place of healing is disturbing.

      • They are not just random acts of violence, stuff is taken away by poor and homeless people to be sold, that is “natural” so to say, the graffiti part yes, but there are some masterpieces there to.

      • The pictures are very good & disturbing. If these are deliberate acts of violence and not random, that would make it worse for me. I’ve seen some masterpiece graffiti — I personally would not classify the graffiti in these pictures as masterpieces. However, beauty & art & sadness & things that are disturbing are often in the eyes of the beholder. Your work obviously speaks to all these things which is by no means an easy feat. Well done.

  1. What a deserving entry for the Freshly Pressed. Congrats! Such beautiful photography, a little bit eerie. Good eerie.

  2. congrats on being freshly pressed. Love the pics, they are amazing. You succeeded in making us feel the atmosphere of the place. This location would be nice for a Silent Hill 2 🙂

  3. Do not get mad with me, please, but they all seem to have almost the same perspective. Maybe to try to make few more with another lens, different angle, not only showing to the outside.
Lights was great, indeed. Warm and lovely for the bad and abandoned.

    • This is the idea, i have many more pictures with this place, but this is a series that is united by the composition. 🙂

  4. I agree with Karen again, it seems a violation to see what has been done to this place even after it is not in use. The pictures are stunning though. I love them in this big format too. They make such an impression–kind of hopeless yet mysterious.

  5. You know what they say about photos speaking volumes? That was the only thought in my head when I saw your photos. They speak a lot…about stories untold, dreams shattered, smiles, tears, children, people. The pictures are so disturbing, eerie and very thought-provoking. Loved them. Congratulations on being Freshly Pressed, you certainly deserved it.

  7. Must have a weird feeling standing in that building. You can imagine what people were doing in each room and then you look at the real image in front of you.
